The check that I was waiting for arrived yesterday! FedEx drove by my house once and I thought I was going to have to wait another day. Instead it got delivered late because it was given to the wrong driver! It was funny because when we were behind the FedEx truck on our way home from the stable, my daughter said that after the delivery was done delivering where it had turned, that we’d get ours. I told her no, that the FedEx truck came to our neighborhood already…I’m glad she was right!
I still need to find out if I got approved for the hardship withdraw from my retirement, I need that to prevent eviction from my home, but this check certainly relieves some pressure.
I treated my daughter to Lucky Wishbone, she was SO happy. We prefer to have a good/favorite meal once in awhile and live off ramen and sandwiches rest of the time. I know some people prefer to have a slightly better meal than ramen every day and will spread out the money available.
I am not spending the money from the check until I find out about the hardship withdraw in case I need it to stay here. I called the utilities and got extensions and will wait to get my mini laptop. It is SO hard not being able to feel like I can do more for my finances, but it is good to see things moving forward without me writing non-stop!
My daughter is up doing her chores she didn’t get done yesterday because she was working at the stable for her lesson money. She will go again today. She had a pretty good work ethic at 13, but it has further developed the past few weeks. I’m SO very proud of her! My grown boys all have a great work ethic and it has contributed to their happiness to be good at their jobs and valued at their jobs. I pray for the same for my older daughter who doesn’t live with me.
Last night I was talking to my daughter about our finances and she told me that she doesn’t realize how bad it is until I talk about it. I thank God for her peace during this situation.
